ErgoRest® MultiTripod
I spend a lot of time in the car - too much really. But the car is an excellent hide and you may come across a lot of things along the roads. But you cannot just step out of the car and set up your tripod, at least not if the subject is a wild animal. In the beginning, I tried to solve the problem by supporting the lens with my arm or by putting it on a bean bag, but that is not entirely perfect. Especially not if one has to sit and wait like that for a while. There are a number of solutions to the problem which generally consist of a kind of camera support that is attached to the car door. The best construction, I think, is the one made by Finnish ErgoRest®. Not only is it perfectly suited for this situation, it may also be used as an additional support for hand held photography and for macro work. The multi tripod also works perfectly for ornithologists who can use it to support their spotting scopes.
The tripod is made of steel and coated with polyurethane. It weighs approx. 750 g. and comes with a reversible screw attachment of both 1/4" and 3/8" to fit most camera heads.
An ErgoRest® MultiTripod costs SEK 845 including VAT and postage within Sweden. (For C.O.D. orders, the Post charges an additional SEK 40.)
